Day in the District

We took advantage of Day in the District and visited Fort Worth where all museums had free admission for that day only. Wow! I've never seen so many people in one place at one time. Luckily we got there early and avoided most of the crowd, but by the time we left there were waiting lines to get into exhibits! We started at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and then went on the Log Cabin Village.

Pictures from the Fort Worth Museum:

Here is Roland in the dinosaur exhibit.

Ellie busy concentrating on her tinker toy project.

Caden building a tall building with blocks.

Ellie checking on the newborn baby in the nursery center. She can't wait for the REAL baby to come!

Dr. Caden giving us an eye exam.

Jonathan in the dinosaur exhibit.

Pictures from the Log Cabin Village:

Ellie and Caden imagining what it was like to cook over an open fire.

Ellie grinding corn.

Jonathan grinding coffee the old fashioned way.

Caden pumping water. This was the highlight of the trip for Caden, and we had to revisit this station many times!

I love all the learning going on! That picture of Ellie with the newborn doll is so cute (there could be a career in there somewhere).
